Dad Hero Community Drive-In

Name Change:

The Dads Matter Too Community Day has been changed to the Dad Hero Community Day.   This year, due to the COVID-19 crisis, we elected to do a community drive-in (the Dad Here Community Drive-In) to assure the safety of all the fathers and their children.  It was a great event!  Thank-you to our sponsors, The Hartford and Manchester offices and The Village for Families and Children.  Also, we would like to thank Parkade Cinemas for their creativity in making this event a success.

Who:

The Dad Hero Community Day was created specifically for fathers (this includes, married fathers, single fathers, non-custodial fathers, step fathers, foster fathers, grandfathers and other father figures) and their children as a way to highlight the important role that Dads play in their children’s lives.

What:

The Dad Hero Community Day is a day full of field day activities, inflatables, games, entertainment, musical performances and food trucks with a variety of delicious food.

When:

The next Dad Hero Community Day is:
AUGUST 2021

Why:

We do the Dads Matter Too Community Day because we want to emphasize that:
Dads Matter for the success of children.
Dads Matter as decisions makers for their children.
Dads Matter for the future of their children.
Dads Matter for the best education of their children.
Dads Matter and are equal to mothers in some areas, add value and need support.
Dads Matter and kids need them.
We could go on but ultimately we want fathers to be front of mind when it comes to the decisions, plans and outcomes for their children.

How:

The Dad Hero Community Day is put on with the support of our sponsors and community collaborators.  If you would like to be a sponsor, email us at: info@mypeoplecommunity.org.
